We are currently looking for additional engineers to expand the team
T3EC is a young business expanding through an increased volume of business due to client recommendations. We provide engineering design from foundation through to superstructure on a wide variety of projects in different market sectors ranging from domestic extensions to large, high-profile new-build developments involving offsite construction techniques in light gauge steel and timber.
All staff need to be motivated and comfortable in dealing with clients, as we encourage a high level of client interaction. In return, we offer a flexible working environment, personalised training and support a high level of responsibility. . For more experienced candidates there is an opportunity to play a significant role in running the business in the near future.
We are based in Cambridgeshire, but our client base is spread throughout the UK.

Senior Structural Engineer
Due some recent major project wins, we are looking to add one or more experienced engineers to the team to lead the team on larger design projects, and attend a number of smaller sites to determine structural load paths and take measurements suitable for further design or inspect structural damage. In particular we are looking for:- At least six years' experience in a structural engineering consultancy including design and analysis in the common materials steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
- IStructE or equivalent chartership preferred
- Solid understanding of analysis and design codes, standards, criteria and design execution pertinent to structural engineering.
- Experience of on-site structural assessments (preferably including small residential projects
- Experience in handling client relations, including significant experience with site visits and client meetings. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with winning additional work for the company.
- A good practical working knowledge of AUTOCAD, TEDDS, TEKLA STRUCTURAL DESIGNER, and SAND design packages would be an advantage, particularly Tekla Structural Designer. CAD competency is important as although we have technician support, you will sometimes need to draw your own details
- Understanding of offsite construction and experience in the design of modular structures in light gauge steel would be an advantage.
- Previous line management experience would be an advantage
- Full UK driving licence and based within commutable distance of St Neots Cambridgeshire or willing to relocate
Structural Engineer
We are looking to add one or more experienced engineers to the team to undertake structural design using Tekla on both large and small projects. We're willing to consider good candidates at all levels of experience including graduate engineers, but previous experience working for a structural engineering consultancy to UK building regulations is strongly preferred
In particular we are looking for:
- Professional experience in a structural engineering consultancy including design, detailing and analysis in the common materials steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
- A good practical working knowledge of AUTOCAD, TEDDS, TEKLA STRUCTURES, QUICKSOFT and SAND design packages would be a significant advantage, particularly Tekla Structural Designer
- Competency in CAD drawing and detailing strongly preferred.
- Experience in handling client relations would be an advantage
- Understanding of offsite construction and experience in the design of modular structures in light gauge steel would be an advantage.
- [Progress towards] IStructE or equivalent chartership an advantage

Graduate Structural Engineer / Engineering Technician
We are looking to add another graduate engineer or engineering technician to our small but growing team to work on design projects. We’re willing to consider good candidates at all levels of experience including recent graduates, but previous experience working for a structural engineering consultancy in the UK would be an advantage.
In particular we are looking for:
- A degree in structural/civil engineering and/or relevant professional experience working as an engineer or technician in a structural or civil engineering consultancy
- An interest in continued career development as a structural engineer including an interest in developing skills across a wide range of construction techniques and project sizes.
- Practical working knowledge of AUTOCAD, TEDDS, TEKLA STRUCTURES, QUICKSOFT and/or SAND design packages would be an advantage, particularly Tekla Structures. Competency in CAD drawing and detailing would be a significant advantage.
- Engineering design and analysis experience in the common materials steel, concrete, timber and masonry to UK building regulations would be a significant advantage.
